The holidays are a difficult time for many people who have lost someone loved. We offer a special Holiday Remembrance Program in honor of those who have died and in support of those who still live.
This years Holiday Remembrance Open House on Friday,December 14, 2018 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at the Jacobson Funeral Home in L’Anse. Rev. Julie Belew will be speaking about hope for the holidays after losing a loved one at 1:00 p.m., there will be presenting ornaments in memory of loved ones, along with food and fellowship. Donations for residents of Bayside Village in L’Anse will also be collected. Some suggestions are: lotions, body wash,loose fitting socks, nonskid slippers, hair rollers, stationary, candy,electric tooth brushes, hats, gloves, after shave, deodorant, wallets, lapblankets, costume jewelry, craft supplies, colored pencils, and markers. A practical presentation on coping with holiday grief is followed by a tree lighting ceremony. The tree will be decorated with personalized dove tree ornaments, including names and dates representing those that have passed away during the year.
People who have lost a loved one in the past can call Jacobson Funeral Home to have an ornament in memory of them placed on the tree.
