Aileen Amelia Hutula, age 94 of Covington, MI passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2014 at St. Claire Hospital, Upper St. Claire, PA.

She was born March 3, 1920 in Covington, MI daughter to Victor and Lydia (Maki) Hill. Aileen attended grade school in Covington and graduated from Kenton High School in 1937. She married Norman O. Hutula on September 26, 1941 in Covington. In 2006 Aileen moved to Washington, PA to be near her son.

Aileen was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher and a member of the women’s church league. She was active in 4-H where she taught sewing. Her hobbies included sewing, knitting, reading, and watching sports.

Surviving are her son David (Mary) Hutula of Venetia, PA; grandsons, Scott (Joanna) Hutula of Concord, NC and their children Karina and Mitchell, Craig (Gretchen) Hutula of Ashburn, VA and their daughter Grace; brother William Hill of Ishpeming, MI; sisters, Elsie Heer of Shelby, MI, Minerva Johnson of Pensacola, FL, and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death are her parents; husband Norman; brothers, Arvid and Edwin Hill; and sister Alma Humphreys.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Trinity Lutheran Church, 12677 Hwy M28, Covington, MI 49919.

Visitation was on Sunday, October 12th from 4-6 p.m. at the Jacobson Funeral Home and on Monday, October 13th from 10-11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Covington, MI. Her funeral service was on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Mark Reinsch officiating. Burial is in the Covington Cemetery. A luncheon and fellowship  followed in the church hall. The Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
