Anne Louise Davis

October 24, 1940 — July 21, 2009

Anne Louise Davis, age 68 of L'Anse, MI passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at Bayside Village in L'Anse with her family by her side.

She was born October 24, 1940 in North East, Maryland daughter of the late Fredrick and Helen (Mason) Blomquist. Anne graduated from North East High School in 1958. She married Carl "Jim" Davis on October 18, 1958 in Newark, Delaware. They resided in the Maryland area until 1993 when they moved to L'Anse.

Anne was a member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church in Hancock. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting.

She is survived by her husband Carl "Jim" Davis of L'Anse; son Charles (Dawn) Davis of Spring Lake Park, MN; daughter Victoria (Tim) Foley of North East, Maryland; 4 brothers, Robert (Mildred) Blomquist of North East, Maryland, John Blomquist of West Virginia, Neal (Irma) Blomquist of Washington, Charles (Carolyn) Blomquist of Duluth, MN; 4 sisters, Joan (Alvin) Nacman of Delaware, Kathleen (Gordon) Homola of Washington, Nancy (Al) Johnston of Duluth, MN, Grace (Charles) Davis of Duluth, MN; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.

Preceded in death are her son Kevin Davis in 2003 and sister Marion Wicht.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 23rd at 1:00 p.m. at Jacobson Funeral Home in L'Anse. Visitation will be from 11-1:00 pm at the funeral home. Pastor Clarence Martila will officiate. Burial will be in the L'Anse Evergreen Cemetery. A time of fellowship will follow the burial in the Sharing Room at the Jacobson Funeral Home.
