Arthur Franklin Chenoweth

Arthur F. Chenoweth, age 67 of L'Anse, died peacefully at his home on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014, following a lengthy illness.
He was born on Sept. 27, 1946, in Detroit, MI, to Arthur Chenoweth, Sr. and Ruth (Picard) Chenoweth. The family relocated to the L'Anse area when Art was a young boy.
Art married Sharon Lambert on Oct. 7, 1972 at Sacred Heart Church in L'Anse. He was a 1964 graduate of L'Anse High School, and entered the U.S. Navy shortly after graduation. He was employed at Celotex for nine years, and then worked on the Great Lakes as a wheelsman for Ford Motor Co., Rouge Steel and Interlake Steamship Co., until 2004 when he retired due to ill health. Art enjoyed gardening, cooking, crossword puzzles, reading, and his dog "Molly".
Surviving are his wife Sharon Chenoweth of L'Anse; brothers Robert (Mary) Chenoweth of Aura, Ted (Char) Larsen of Shawano, Wi; Dorothy Salisbury of Dearborn , and numerous nieces and nephews.
