Bruce Delowery Anderson

Bruce Delowery Anderson, age 68 of Ontonagon, MI passed away on Friday, March 4, 2016 at Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital. He was born October 31, 1947 in Detroit, MI son of Orvil and Marie (Delowery) Anderson. Bruce graduated from Plymouth High School. He was in the US Army 11th Armored Calvary Black Horse Division, during Vietnam War from Sept 1967-69, and received a Purple Heart Medal and Combat Infantry Badge Medal. He married Darlene Baggett on December 23, 1978 in Bergland, MI. They resided in Ontonagon where he worked for the Forest Service and then the Ontonagon Area Schools. Surviving are his wife Darlene; daughter Megan Anderla; grandson Bentlee Anderla all of Ontonagon; sisters, Carol Fredenburg of Traverse City, MI, Barbara (Donald) Currence of Chelsea, MI; numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded by his parents; and sisters, Mae Pitts, and Dolores Miller. Per Bruce’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service.
