Carl Ray Harris
January 29, 1932 — April 14, 2012
Carl Ray Harris, age 80 of L'Anse, MI passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at the Houghton County Medical Care Facility.
He was born January 29, 1932 in Murphysboro, IL son of David and Lily (Barnett) Harris. He grew up in Illinois and married Ilene Campbell on September 27, 1952. Carl was a Cpl in the US Army during the Korean War. He resided in Dearborn, MI and worked as a truck driver until moving to L'Anse 10 years ago.
Carl was a member of the American Legion Post #225, and the Masonic Lodge #547 in L'Anse. He enjoyed archery, fire arms, and visiting with friends and family.
Surviving are his sons, Mark (Pam) Harris, Rex (Michael) Harris, and John (Cindy) Harris all of Brighton MI; daughter Cheryl Menard of L'Anse; 9 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild.
Preceding him in death are his parents; wife Ilene; and 11 siblings.
