Charles Leroy Kantola
August 1, 1955 — November 4, 2004
Charles "Chuck" L. Kantola, 49, of L'Anse, Michigan, died Thursday morning at his home.
Chuck was born August 1, 1955, in Detroit, Michigan, a son of the late Robert and Alice (Bennett) Kantola and has been a resident of L'Anse for most of his life.
He worked for several years providing security for the Celotex plant in L'Anse. Chuck was a member of the Baraga County Couples Pool League playing for the Sidetrack and was considered by many as a good pool player. He also enjoyed fishing and playing softball in the Baraga County Men's Softball League.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Kantola; sons, Charles "Chuck" L. Kantola and Benjamin T. Kantola all of L'Anse; brothers, Robert Kantola of Fargo, ND, Mike Kantola of Harvey and John Kantola of Tigerton, MI; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 7, 2004 at 2 p.m. in the Jacobson Funeral Home with Rev. Judy Mattson officiating. Visitation will take place on Sunday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service in the funeral home.
