Charles James Sliger

Charles James Sliger, "Little Charlie", age 51 of Covington, MI passed away on Monday, Sept. 23, 2019 at his home with his family by his side.

He was born January 26, 1968 in Ironwood, MI, son of Charles F. "Big Charlie" and Helen (Tarvainen) Sliger. Charlie graduated from Marquette High School. He liked camping, fishing, atv riding, and cooking. Charlie worked in logging and more recently as a cook at Hardwood Steakhouse and The Ford Center in Alberta. He was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church.

Surviving are his father Charles (Shar) Sliger of Covington; sons, Caleb and Seth Sliger of Covington; daughters, Casey Sliger of Kalamazoo, MI and Cierra Sliger of Covington; siblings, Wendy (Dave) Facchinello and Amy Makinen of Ramsay, MI, Randy Hedman of Ironwood, MI; girlfriend Cindy LaFernier of Covington; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Preceding him in death is his mother Helen Sliger.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 30th at 11 a.m. at the Covington Cemetery with Rev. Richard Little officiating. A luncheon will follow at the VFW Post 8945 in Covington. The Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
