Cheryl Anne (Anderson) Sanicki, age 61 of L'Anse, MI passed away on Monday, January 13, 2014 at Mather Nursing Center in Ishpeming, MI.
Cheri was born June 16, 1952 in Las Vegas, NV daughter of Donald A. and Barbara A. (Kunick) Anderson. In 1970 she graduated from Kingsford High School, Kingsford, MI. She then attended Patricia Stevens Modeling School in Chicago. Cheri worked as a telephone operator for AT&T in Iron Mountain.
She was an active member in the Jaycees. Cheri loved doing ceramics and going to family functions. She will always be remembered for being upbeat and smiling.
Surviving are her sons, Jamie Sanicki of Stanley, WI, Mark (Amanda) Sanicki of Niagara, David (Nikki) Sanicki of Niagara; grandson Nathan Lund; granddaughters, Mallory, Bristel, and Carley Marie Sanicki; mother Barbara Anderson of L'Anse; grandmother Florence Kunick of Baraga; brothers, Dennis (Debbie) Anderson of Alston, Scott Anderson of L'Anse; sister-in-law Renee Anderson Nix of Niagara; brother-in-law Ron Thompson of Baraga; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her father Donald Anderson; sister Lori (Anderson) Bal; brothers, Donald and Steve Anderson.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 18th at 1:00 p.m. at Jacobson Funeral Home in L'Anse. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service. Rev. Judy Mattson will officiate. A luncheon will follow at the Baraga Housing Community Room, 412 Michigan Ave., Baraga, MI. The Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
