Clifford M. Branstrom, age 80, of Elo, Michigan, passed away peacefully at his home on August 12, 2026.

He was born on October 11, 1945, in Hancock, Michigan, the son of Aale and Bertha (Polo) Branstrom. Clifford attended school in Tapiola and graduated in 1963. Following high school, he proudly served his country in the United States Navy from October 1963 until October 1966, he spent much of his service stationed on the USS Myles C. Fox.

On March 7, 1970, Clifford married Judy Clark in Castro Valley, California. Together, they shared 56 years of marriage. Clifford spent more than 45 years working as an over-the-road truck driver, including the last 20 years with D.O.T. Transportation. He lived in California for many years and, beginning in 2024, enjoyed splitting his time between California and his home in Elo.

Clifford had many interests and hobbies that brought him joy throughout his life. He enjoyed riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles, watching football, and was a devoted Minnesota Vikings fan. He was also especially proud of his 1969 Mach 1 Mustang. Clifford was a member of The House of Modesto church in California.

He is survived by his wife, Judy, of Tracy, California, and Elo, Michigan; twin daughters, Michelle (Edward) Bertram and Rachelle (Robert) Dethloff, both of Grand Rapids, Minnesota; son, Bryan Branstrom of Elo; and three grandchildren, Jake, Adam, and Karlie.

Clifford was preceded in death by his parents, Aale and Bertha; brothers, Gerald, Dennis, Melvin, and Eugene; and a baby sister.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 28th at 1 PM at the Elo Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Parkinson's disease research.
