Clyde "Kelly" F. Selden, age 90 of L'Anse, MI passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at his home with his family at his side.

Kelly was born July 14, 1922 in L'Anse, MI son of George and Anna (LaValley) Selden. He attended school in L'Anse and worked at C.C. camps until the age of 16 when he went into the US Navy during WWII. He married Winifred Auger on June 15, 1946 in L'Anse. Kelly was a Mine Supervisor at CCI where he worked for 25 years. He also had a bulldozing business and did a lot of work for friends.

Kelly was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, VFW, and American Legion Post 144. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and trapping. Kelly loved taking care of old people; he often visited them in the nursing home, and took care of his friends graves.

Surviving are his sons, Jim (Georgia) Selden and Clyde (Marsha) Selden Jr. both of L'Anse; daughters, Debbie (Rodger) Cram of Skanee, Anne Marie (David) Seavoy of Skanee, Amanda (Jason) Rinkinen of Baraga; grandchildren, Michelle, Scott, Kevin, Michael, Sandra, Jon, Heidi, Elizabeth "Tuti", Todd, Gerry, Mike, Gretchen, Sarah, Kelley, Mathew; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; lifelong friend Buck Collins of L'Anse; special friend Betty Miller.

Preceding him in death are his parents; wife Winnie Selden; son Michael McGlue; brothers, Guy, Russell, Howard, Bill; sisters, Irene McMamara, Georgianna Robillard, Margaret LaPlante, Marion McManman, Elizabeth Groves; and grandsons Ricky and Michael.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 31st from 4-7:00 p.m. at the Jacobson Funeral Home with parish prayers at 5 p.m. by Deacon John Cadeau. The Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, August 1st at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in L'Anse. Fr. John Longbucco will officiate. Burial will be in the L'Anse Evergreen Cemetery with the Baraga County Area Veterans conducting military rites under the direction of the American Legion Post 444. The Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
