Crystal Jane Supanich, age 41, of L'Anse, Michigan, passed away at her home on Saturday, August 23, 2025.
She was born December 15, 1983, in Hancock, Michigan, the daughter of David Brunk Sr. and the late Sandy Tollefson. Crystal graduated from L'Anse High School and later attended Keweenaw Bay Ojibwa Community College. On June 7, 2025, she married Timmer Supanich in L'Anse.
Crystal worked as a cook for Ojibwa Seniors, tended bar at the L'Anse Golf Club, and most recently proudly started her own transportation business, Destination Detour.
She loved the outdoors and found joy in biking, hiking, camping, rock picking, crafting, beach days, and long car rides. Crystal's adventurous spirit and love for nature shined through in all she did.
Surviving are her husband, Timmer Supanich of L'Anse; father, David Brunk Sr. of Zeba; children, Kayleonna Solberg of Zeba, Treyson Dunleavy of Baraga, and Starr Dunleavy of Zeba; step-sons, Takoda and Lealynd Dunleavy of Zeba; siblings, Jeremy (Ashley) Hebert, John (Hope) Hebert, and Jay Hebert, all of Baraga County, Leon Brunk of Houghton, Dave (Kyleigh) Brunk Jr. of Detroit, and Luanne Jossens of L'Anse; grandchildren, Victoria and Mariyah Tolonen; her best friend, Justin Dunleavy of Zeba; and her faithful dog, Lucky.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Sandy Tollefson; grandpa John Tollefson, grandmother Florence Tollefson; auntie Sharron, and uncle Steve.
A wake will begin on Monday, August 25, at 6:00 p.m. at Zeba Hall and continue until the time of her funeral service on Tuesday, August 26, at 10:00 a.m., also at Zeba Hall. Burial will take place in the L'Anse Evergreen Cemetery at a later date. Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
