Daniel Moilanen

Daniel Moilanen, age 77 of Alston, MI passed away on Monday, July 13, 2015 at his home.
Dan was born November 14, 1937 in Laird Twp., MI, son of Ernest and Esther (Luomanen) Moilanen. He graduated from McKenzie High School in Detroit. Dan worked at Sears and Interstate Vending in the Detroit area. In 1982 he moved to Alston, MI and worked at the Pelkie Feed Store.
He enjoyed fishing, shooting guns, painting, building models, riding his Harley, traveling the back roads, and loved seeing his grandchildren.
Surviving are his children, Daniel Moilanen Jr of Redford Twp., MI, Debbie Konwerski of Whitmore Lake, MI, Dianne (Dennis) Zagor of Ann Arbor; 8 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother David Moilanen; and a grandson Joshua Zagor.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 19th at 1:00 p.m. at the Jacobson Funeral Home with Rev. Judy Mattson officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
