Dawn R. McIntyre, age 77 of Trout Creek, MI passed away on Monday, October 10, 2011 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital
She was born September 1, 1934 in Trout Creek, daughter of the late Glen and Yvonne (Tremblay) Manning. Dawn graduated from Trout Creek High School in 1952 and soon after married the love of her life Floyd "Swede" McIntyre on July 12, 1952 in Trout Creek. Dawn bartended at Bear's Bar in Watersmeet and later Seppi's Bar in Kenton and various others in between
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Trout Creek and the Ruth Circle. Dawn was an avid Detroit Tiger fan, collected angels, enjoyed crocheting and cooking. She was free spirited and very kind hearted.
Surviving are her daughter Jill (Greg) Mansfield of Watersmeet; grandchildren, Heather (Bob Shamion) Green of L'Anse, Amber (Chad) Caldwell of Crystal Falls, Brandon (Michelle) Green of Curtis, MI, great grandchildren, Mason, Makayla, Marlie and Martin, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her husband Floyd "Swede"; brother Ronald Manning; sisters, Nancy Peterson and Joan Pelkola.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. The Jacobson Funeral Home in L'Anse is assisting the family.
