Dawn Marie (Hansen) VanWagner
January 13, 1967 — June 7, 2015
Dawn Marie VanWagner, age 48 of L’Anse, Michigan passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital.
She was born January 13, 1967 in L’Anse, daughter to Gary and Darlene (Johnson) Hansen. Dawn graduated from L’Anse High School in 1985 and later from Finlandia University with an Associate’s Degree in Business. She worked in purchasing at the Baraga Maximum Correctional Facility for 17 years.
The joy of her life were her two children; son Alex VanWagner and daughter Megan VanWagner of L’Anse. She is also survived by her devoted and loving mother Darlene Hansen of L’Anse; brothers, Gary Hansen of Covington and David (Kathy) Hansen of L’Anse; maternal grandmother, Agnes Johnson of L’Anse; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her father Gary Hansen; maternal grandfather Earl Johnson; and paternal grandparents, Harold and Stella Hansen.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no visitation at this time. A funeral mass in memory of her life will be held at a later date.
