Delores Jennifer Schneider

Delores Jennifer Schneider, age 75 of L'Anse, Michigan passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at Baraga County Memorial Hospital. Those who knew Delores well knew her as "Boodie".

Delores was born on November 14, 1948, in L'Anse, MI. She was the daughter of Earl and Agnes (King) Johnson. Delores graduated from L'Anse High School in 1966. She married Timothy Schneider on May 11, 1974, in Baraga, MI. Delores worked for many years as a CNA at the former Winkler's Nursing Home and Bayside Village in L'Anse. Throughout the years, Delores also provided home health care for numerous people in L'Anse.

Delores enjoyed cooking, reading, spending time by the lake, and walking her dog, Sadie. Delores had a kind and generous heart and great sense of humor. What Delores loved the most in life was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Delores was an incredible grandmother; her grandchildren adored her.

Surviving her are her husband, Timothy Schneider of L'Anse; children, Brent Schneider of L'Anse, Todd Schneider of L'Anse, Nicole Gregory of Ishpeming, MI; brothers, Earl Johnson of Newberry, MI and Skanee, MI, Gary (Marcia) Johnson of Leonard, MI; sisters, Darlene Hansen of L'Anse, Bonnie (Mark) Peterson of L'Anse; grandchildren Lauryn Schneider, Erica Schneider, Brandy Schneider, Nikolas Gregory, Kinley Schneider; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Earl and Agnes Johnson.

A funeral will be held on Thursday, February 29th at 1:00 pm at Jacobson Funeral Home with Fr. Corey Litzner officiating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The burial will be in the spring in the L'Anse Evergreen Cemetery. Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
