Doris Patricia Miller

Doris P. Miller, age 87 of L'Anse passed away on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital.
Doris was born January 24, 1923 in Escanaba, MI daughter of Clarence and Gertrude (Sanford) Olive. She grew up in Escanaba and married Floyd Johnson; and later married Floyd Miller. They preceded her in death. Doris resided in the Houghton area for several years and moved to L'Anse about 7 years ago.
She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary in South Range, enjoyed country music, and loved to dance.
Surviving are her son John "Ed" (Karen) Tucker of Menominee, MI; daughters Sandi Miller of Hastings, MI and Kathy (Jack) McIntyre of L'Anse; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are her parents and a sister LaVerne Winton.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 1st at 1:00 p.m. at the Jacobson Funeral Home in L'Anse. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service. Pastor Judy Mattson will officiate. Burial will be in the Baraga Cemetery. The Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
