Elvie, J. Grady, age 73 of Milwaukee, WI passed away on Monday, November 7, 2011 at Willowcrest in Milwaukee.
She was born on February 12, 1938 in Negaunee, MI daughter to John and Fiina Jacobson. Elvie grew up in Sidnaw, MI and graduated from L'Anse High School. She married Albert Grady and they resided in Milwaukee, WI where she worked as a paralegal for a law firm.
Surviving are her step daughter, Gail Grady of Milwaukee; brother Paul (Karen) Jacobson of Sidnaw; sister Sylvia Beck of Ontonagon, MI; nieces, Carol Chapman of Chicago, IL, Shirley (Dean) Jackson of Marquette; nephew Alan (Kay) Beck of Ontonagon; several great nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband Albert Grady; brothers, Walter, Vern, and George Jacobson; brother-in-law Gerald Beck; nephew Michael Beck; and nephew-in-law Vaughan Chapman.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 19th at 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Sidnaw, MI. Deacon Dean Jackson will officiate. Burial will be in the Sidnaw Cemetery. A luncheon and fellowship will follow at the church. The Jacobson Funeral Home of L'Anse is assisting the family.
