Eva Louise (Koskinen) Kakkuri

Eva Louise (Koskinen) Kakkuri age 95, of Berkley, MI passed away peacefully on January 7, 2018.

Formerly of Baraga she had been a resident of Berkley for the past 67 years. Eva was born in Calumet, MI on August 23, 1922, daughter of Charles and Hulda Koskinen.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years Richard S. Kakkuri, also formerly of Baraga, as well as her parents. Also preceding Eva in death were grandson Michael E. Powers, brothers Onnie, Wilbert, Wayne and Willard, sisters Elma Mayo, Elvie Willette and Ellen Raymond.

Survivors include son Richard J. Kakkuri (Janet) of Rochester Hills, son David C. Kakkuri (Jackie) of Naples, FL, daughter Ellen M. Stewart of Clawson, and son Dan W. Kakkuri (Mary) of Grand Rapids. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held in the Baraga Cemetery on Monday, July 2, at 11 a.m.  Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
