Gerald Henry Kunick, age 68 of Baraga passed away on Monday, February 8, 2010 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital in L'Anse.
Gerald was born in Baraga, MI on November 26, 1941 son of Albert and Florence (Sipe) Kunick. He was raised in Baraga and attended school there. Gerald enjoyed playing cards.
Surviving are his mother, Florence Kunick of Baraga; sons, Brian Kunick of Sault Ste. Marie, MI and Steven Kunick of Ishpeming; brothers, Albert "Sonny" Kunick of Marquette, Lloyd (Linda) Kunick of Nisula, Ronald (Louise) Kunick of Munising, William Kunick of Marquette; sisters, Barbara Anderson of L'Anse and Mildred Maki of Pelkie; numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; 1 aunt Luella Maravick of Wabeno, WI.
Preceding him in death are his father Albert and his daughter Tammy Curry.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, Feb. 15th at 1:00 pm at the Jacobson Funeral Home. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service. Pastor Judy Mattson will officiate. Burial will be in the Baraga Cemetery. The Jacobson Funeral Home in L'Anse is in charge of arrangements.
