Grace E. Quist

Grace E. Quist, nee Sengebusch age 92 of Atlanta, MI, died December 22, 2010. She was born in Houghton, MI, June 27, 1918, the daughter of Frank and Grace Sengebusch. The sister of Jane Menge, May Hull, Frank Sengebusch, Jr. and Robert Sengebusch.
Grace began her professional career as a nurse at Ardmore Hospital in Ferndale, MI. She then went on to excel as an Amway Distributor. The former Grace Sengebusch was married to the late Curtis Quist. Surviving are two sons James Quist (Donna) and John Quist (Sharon), of Royal Oak, MI; four grandchildren, Mark Quist, Matthew Quist, Jill Childress, and John Quist; three great grandchildren, Gavin Quist, Emilee and Mackenzee Childress. Grace lived in Ferndale, Royal Oak, Atlanta, MI and Tucson, AZ, before moving back to Atlanta, MI in 2004.
Grace loved dogs and collecting Hummels. Grace was a member of Big Rock Congregational Church, the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, the Ladies Shrine, Eastern Star, and the Lions Club.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 8, 2011, at the Big Rock Congregational Church in Atlanta, MI. A grave side service will be held on June 17th at 11:00 a.m. in the L'Anse Evergreen Cemetery, L'Anse, MI. The Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
