Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Sister

Jeanette Lorraine Marnich, 92, of Sidnaw, Mi. was called home by the Lord on Friday, August 5, 2011 at Rennes Nursing Home in De Pere, Wi. with her family at her side. She was born on September 18, 1918 to Archibald and Katherine (Mc Corry) Pequet of Sidnaw. She was one of seventeen children of the Pequet family. Jeanette was a lifelong resident of Sidnaw and attended the Sidnaw and Kenton schools while helping her mother care for her younger siblings. A devout Catholic, she was a lifelong member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church where she taught catechism for several years. Jeanette also served as caretaker for St. Francis Xavier church for almost fifty years. She was also a life member of the Covington VFW ladies Auxiliary. On Nov. 4, 1939, she married John "Jack" Marnich of Painesdale, Mi. to whom she shared a loving marriage of 67 years. She loved her home, her family, and her life in Sidnaw. Her caring and unselfishness will be missed by many. Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband John, twelve brothers and sisters; Blanche, Don, Clifford, Dorothy, Saint Claire, Adrian, Carl, Bernadine, Aubrey, Raymond, Kathryn, and Virginia. She is survived by her loving son Thomas (Sherry) of Rockford, Il., Grandchildren Sean (Jeanette) Wirtz of Green Bay, Wi., Mick (Kerstina) Wirtz of Green Bay, Wi., and Johnathan Marnich of Rockford, Il., four brothers; Robert (May) of Jackson, Mi., Lawrence of Sacramento, Ca., Scott (Phyllis) of Buffalo, Ny., and Archie (Joan) Pequet of Elm Grove, Wi., great-grandchildren; Tyler Wirtz, Taryn Wirtz, Mickey Wirtz, Madeline Wirtz, and Saige Wirtz. Also survived by her estranged daughter Theresa Wirtz. Per Jeanette's request a private funeral service was held at Hanson Funeral Home, Green Bay, Wi. with the Rev. Fr. Tim Shilicox officiating. Burial was held at the Sidnaw Cemetery.
