Kenneth Edward Loonsfoot

Kenneth Edward Loonsfoot, age 78 of Marquette, MI passed away on Monday, December 2nd, 2024 at his home.

He was born November 6th, 1946 in Baraga, MI son of James and Marcella (Shelafoe) Loonsfoot. Ken worked as a carpenter for KBIC Tribal Construction. He was a member of the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community, Most Holy Name of Jesus Church, Odd Fellows, Shriners, and Rebecca.

Surviving are his sister Agatha (Michael) Cardinal of Assinins, and numerous nieces and nephews

Preceding him in death are his parents James and Marcella; siblings, James Loonsfoot, Barbara Haalapa, Philomena Ekdahl, Lawrence Loonsfoot, Patricia Pillsbury, Lois Aldred, and Jeanne Aho.

A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, December 10th at 11:00 a.m. at Most Holy Name of Jesus Church with Fr. Jins Joseph officiating. Burial will be in the summer in the Assinins Cemetery. Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
