Lola Jean Gerard, 93, of Baraga, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2025. She was born December 27, 1931, to Noble and Inez (McGlue) Drolson.

Lola was known and loved as a tough, spirited woman with a sharp wit and a big heart. A lifelong fan of the Green Bay Packers and the Baraga Vikings. She found joy in life's simple pleasures-especially her almost-daily trips to Sand Point Beach with friends; a tradition she happily continued even this past summer. Her dedication to the community was evident in her more than 40 years of service on the Lumberjack Day Committee, where she contributed her time, energy, and love for her hometown.
