Lucille Hazel Babbitt

Lucille Hazel Babbitt, age 93 of Elo, Michigan passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2011 at her home.
Lucille was born July 8, 1917 in Homesville, Ohio daughter to Clay and Bertha (Gibson) Blair. She graduated from High School in Columbus, OH. Lucille married Thomas J. Babbitt and he preceded her in death at age 32. She lived in Marco Island, Florida for about 18 years and in 2000 moved to Elo with her son Thomas. Lucille enjoyed sewing.
She is survived by her son Thomas Babbitt of Elo; sister Midget (Ray) Picit of Knoxville, Tennessee; grandchildren Thomas (Billie) Babbitt, Donnie (Tami) Babbitt, Melissa Strawser all of Columbus, OH, Beth (Mike) Gerherdstein of Marco Island, FL; and several great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 30th at 11:00 a.m. at the Jacobson Funeral Home in L'Anse, MI. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Rev. John Henry will officiate. Burial will be in the Elo Cemetery. The Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
