Maire O. Kasper

Maire O. Kasper, age 85 of Aura, MI died Thursday, November 26, 2009 at her home.
She was born April 13, 1924 in Oulainen, Finland daughter to Henry and Hilma (Raisanen) Isojarvi. Maire was raised in Finland and came to the United States in 1947 to settle in Aura. She married George Kasper on June 3, 1947 in Pelkie, MI. They owned and operated a small dairy farm in Aura. Her hobbies include dancing, music, reading, shopping and sauna.
She is survived by her daughter Marie Kasper of Aura, and cousins, nieces and nephews in Finland. Preceding her in death are her parents, husband George, brother Voitto Isojarvi, sister Aino Luoto, and a baby sister that died as an infant.
There will be no funeral service at this time. The Jacobson Funeral Home of L'Anse is assisting the family.
