Margaret Ann (Keranen) Mustonen

Margaret Ann Mustonen, age 81, of Gold Canyon, AZ died peacefully on the morning of Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at Better Senior Care Home in Apache Junction, AZ following a brief illness.

She was born January 9, 1937 in Hancock, MI to Wilbert and Lillian (Rinkinen) Keranen.

Margaret married Richard Mustonen on February 4, 1956 in Baraga, MI.  They had just celebrated 62 years of marriage on this date, in 2018.

After leaving the U.P., they lived in various areas of the United States and Johannesburg, South Africa, then settled in Gold Canyon, AZ.  She graduated from Mesa Community College with her Associate of Arts degree in 1983 and from Arizona Sate University with her Bachelor’s Degree in social work in 1985.

Margaret is survived by her husband, Richard; daughters, Roberta (Kevin) Toutant of Marquette, Shari (Dan) Decker of Gilbert, AZ, Rhonda (Ron) Keenom of Surprise, AZ; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and various cousins.

Preceding her in death are her parents; sons, Wade Richard and Michael Neal.

Per Margaret’s wishes, no services were held following cremation.  Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
