Marie S. Archambeau

Marie S. Archambeau, age 96 formerly of Baraga, MI passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2010 at Houghton County Medical Care Facility in Hancock, MI.
She was born on December 6, 1913 in Rousseau, MI, daughter to the late Axel and Soffia Kaurala. She married Joseph Archambeau in 1934 and they resided in Baraga. She enjoyed spending time with her family and baking. Her family was number one and her favorite job was puttering around the house.
Marie was a member of St. Ann's Church in Baraga.
Surviving are her children, Dan (Lois) Archambeau of Kenton, MI and Seebring, FL, JoAnne Hansen of Deadwood, SD, Peter (Carol) Archambeau of Baraga, Carol (Clarence) Hocking of South Range, MI, Frances (Rudy) Kastelic of Calumet, MI, and Treffles Archambeau of Tampa, FL; 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death are her parents; husband Joseph; and 6 siblings.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 7th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ann's Church in Baraga. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Fr. Brian Gerber will officiate. Burial will be in the Baraga Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice in her memory. The Jacobson Funeral Home of L'Anse is assisting the family.
