Martin Curtis Sr., 64, of L'Anse, died Thursday, November 23, 2006, at Baraga County Memorial Hospital.
He was born September 12, 1942, in L'Anse, a son of the late Percy and Lillian (Champagne) Curtis and had been a lifelong area resident.
Martin enjoyed fishing and playing cribbage in the L'Anse VFW Cribbage League.
He is survived by 3 sons, Martin (Elizabeth) Curtis of Baraga, Robert (Camorah) Curtis of Tampa, FL and William "Bill" Curtis of Hurley, WI; 3 daughters, Barbara Curtis of L'Anse, Yvonne Curtis of L'Anse and Helen (Donny) Shelafoe of Baraga; a sister, Ruth Curtis of L'Anse; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Francis Curtis.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 1, 2006 at 11 a.m. in the Jacobson Funeral Home with Rev. John Henry officiating. Interment will be in the Assinins Cemetery.
