Mary Elizabeth LeRue

Mary Elizabeth LeRue, born June 21, 1949, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2025.

Mary faced many challenges throughout her life, yet she never let that define her spirit. She found great joy in simple pleasures-crocheting beautiful pieces by hand, working on puzzles, playing cards, and watching her favorite show, Cops. Mary also loved spending quiet moments observing deer and the beauty of nature out her window.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert Sr. and Doris Sipe; her brother, Hubert Jr.; and her brothers-in-law, Clifford Nankervis and Doug Holma.

Mary is survived by her brother, Thomas (Mary) LeRue; sisters Dorothy Nankervis of Skanee, Carol Holma of Watton, and JoAnne (Ronald) Swafford of Marion, IL. She will also be remembered by her many nieces and nephews.

Private family services will be held. Interment will take place at Baraga Cemetery.

Mary will be deeply missed by those who knew her gentle heart, her sense of humor, and her love for life's quiet joys.
