Otto Peterson

Otto Peterson, 79, of Aura, died early Sunday morning at Baraga County Memorial Hospital.
Otto was born June 20, 1925, in Evanston, Illinois, a son of the late Otto and Eva (Frederickson) Peterson. He was a graduate of New Trier High School. On June 28, 1947 he married the former Florence Ristow in Amherst, Wisconsin.
Otto was a WWII veteran having served in the Marine Corps. For most of his working life, Otto was employed by Anchor Coupling and retired as a superintendent in 1974. Following retirement, he relocated to Aura.
He was a member of the American Legion Post #144 in L'Anse. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and making maple syrup. Otto also built his own home.
Otto is survived by his wife, Florence Peterson of Aura; children, Daniel (Carol) Peterson of Helena, Montana, David Peterson of Aura and Carol Stone of Mundelein, IL; grandchildren, Kelly and Lisa Stone of Mundelein, IL; and a sister, Sue Ann Peterson of Glenview, IL.
In keeping with Otto's wishes there will be no services.
