Patricia L. Mili

Patricia L. Mili, age 77 of Baraga, MI passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2009 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital.
She was born July 10, 1931 in Greenland, MI daughter to the late William and Louise (Verville) Shaffer. Patsy graduated from Greenland-Mass City School in 1948. She married William E. Mili on April 17, 1948 in Greenland. They resided downstate Michigan in Redford Twp and Brighton from 1954-78 where she was active in St. Agatha School and church. In 1978 they moved back to Baraga County. She was involved in Sacred Heart School and the L'Anse Schools. She enjoyed playing cards.
Patsy was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Most Holy Name of Jesus Church in Assinins and formerly Blessed Kateri.
Surviving are her husband William of Baraga; son Tom Mili of Baraga; sister Mary Lou Elmhurst of Marquette; granddaughters Patti Mili of Midland, MI, Michelle (Dan) Kowalski of Houghton, MI; great grandchildren Billy Mili, Joseph and Jacob Kowalski; numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death are her son Dave Mili; brothers, Howard Francis, Paul Francis, Billy Shaffer; and sister Yvonne Johnson.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 26th from 5-7 pm at the Jacobson Funeral Home. Parish prayers will be recited at 6:30 pm. The funeral mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, April 27th at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in L'Anse and there will be a visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Fr. George Maki will officiate. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Greenland, MI. The Jacobson Funeral Home in L'Anse is assisting the family.
