Paul Michael Paquette

Paul Michael (Mike) Paquette, age 63 of L’Anse, MI passed away on September 28, 2015 at his home due to a short illness.

He was born on February 13, 1952 in Hancock, MI second son of Paul Napoleon and Agnus “Aggie” (Erickson) Paquette who precedes him in death.

Paul (Mike) loved to work on cars since he was a young man, and made it his lifelong profession.  In his later years he worked on heavy equipment.  Retirement came early due to back surgeries.  His favorite hobby is tinkering in his shop in his spare time.  Anyone who knew him knew he had the gift to gab and loved to talk about politics.

He had a kind heart and would do anything for anyone and loved to have his cup of coffee visiting with his friends.  He was a very generous man with a big heart.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carol Jean Paquette of 25 years; his sons, Paul (Mike) Jr. of IL and Jason Ryan of Colorado; brother Joseph (Elaine Franti) of L’Anse; nephew Joey of Seattle, WA; niece Tammy Nettell of Dodgeville, MI; 7 grandchildren; his extended family Jim and Carrie Burkowski of MI; Curtis and Michelle Settino of Oregon; Mike and Jen Tikkanen of L’Anse, Stephanie Reed of L’Anse; his very good friend Sam Morrow of L’Anse; along with many other friends.

At Paul’s request there will be no services.  Friends may sign his guest book or send condolences at www.jacobsonfuneralhome.com.  The Jacobson Funeral Home of L’Anse is assisting the family.
