Raymond E. Lepola
September 6, 1929 — January 1, 2002
Raymond E. Lepola, age 72, of Watton, passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2002 at his home.
He was born September 6, 1929 in Watton, son of the late Francis and Gladys (Arnson) Lepola. He was a life long resident of Watton. He worked for the US Forestry Service from age 18 until retiring in 1994. Raymond enjoyed hunting, fishing, welding, electrical work, and aviation. He had built and flew his own plane. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran church.
Raymond is survived by his sisters Ellen (John) Torreano of Negaunee and Dorothy Richards of Tennessee, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by a brother Robert Lepola and a sister Betty Erickson.
There will be no visitation. Spring burial will be in the Covington Cemetery. The Jacobson Funeral Home of L'Anse is in charge of arrangements.
