Sally Ott, age 66 of L'Anse, MI passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, WI.
She was born June 5, 1943 in Manistique, MI daughter to Charles and Frederika (Jordan) Dyer. Sally grew up in Manistique and graduated from Manistique High School in 1961. She married Philip J. Ott on July 27, 1963 in Manistique. Sally owned a beauty shop in Manistique prior to moving to L'Anse in 1985. She worked at The Style Inn in L'Anse until retiring in 2004.
Sally was a member of the United Lutheran Church, Martha's Circle, L'Anse Golf Club, and the Women's Golf League. Her hobbies included reading, crafts, quilting, decorating, and traveling. Sally enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband Philip Ott of L'Anse; sons Jon Ott of Denmark, WI, Christopher (Beth) Ott of Appleton, WI; daughter Andrea (Robert) Smith of Manistique; parents Charles and Frederika Dyer of Manistique; brother Richard "Jim" (Cindy) Dyer of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren Elise and Jenea Ott, Chelsey Smith, Abigail and Carter Ott; aunts, uncle, cousins, and several in-laws.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 25th at 1:00 pm at the United Lutheran Church in L'Anse. Visitation will be from 11-1:00 pm at the church. Rev. Scott Williams will officiate.
Memorials may be made to the United Lutheran Church or American Liver Foundation/Michigan.
