Stanley Rudolph Hansen, age 72 of Watton, MI passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at UP Health Systems in Marquette, MI with his family by his side.
He was born May 9, 1942 in Covington, MI son of Norman and Elma (Kemppainen) Hansen. Stanley attended school in Covington and L’Anse. He married the former Karen Rantanen on June 9, 1962 in Hancock.
Stanley worked for American Motors in Kenosha, WI from 1960-66 then returned to Covington. He worked for the Bricklayers & Allied Craftsman Local 2 of Michigan, retiring in 2001. He was a member of the Moose Lodge 994 of Lake Worth, FL. He enjoyed traveling, four wheeling, playing Keno, and stock car racing.
Surviving are his wife, Karen Hansen of Watton; son Scott (Joset) Hansen of Covington; daughter LeeAnn (Jeff) Sindelar of Marion, Iowa; five grandchildren, Derek, Kari, and Shannon Sindelar, Sarah and Joey Hansen.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Private family services were held. The Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
