Theodore Charles Gearu

Theodore Charles Gearu, age 66 of Baraga, Michigan passed away on Saturday, March 9th, 2024 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital.
He was born May 29, 1957 in Marquette, MI son of Richard and Pauline (McMaster) Gearu. Ted married Jeanne Peltola on April 28, 1984 in Baraga, MI. He drove logging truck for many years. Ted enjoyed brook trout fishing and tinkering in his garage.
Surviving are his wife Jeanne Gearu of Baraga; sisters, Carol Gearu of Munising, Clay Gearu of Marquette, Diane Clausen of Kansas, Kay (Bob) Myers of Gladstone, Kenneth Gearu, and Linda (John) Seppi of Chatham; and four cats, Mittens, Skitter, Tabby, and Lucy Lu.
Preceding him in death are his parents Richard and Pauline; brothers, Glen Gearu, John Gearu; and sister Paul Gearu.
Burial will be in the spring in the Elo Cemetery. Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
