Wallace A Rajala

Wallace A. Rajala, age 91, a Center Line resident died on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at St. John Hospital in Detroit, MI. Wallace was born on September 19, 1922 in Redridge, MI. He was a retired Chrysler Corporation employee and a Veteran of the US Navy. As a Honorable Discharged Seaman First Class, he was the recipient of a Victory Medal and the American Area Asiatic-Pacific 2 stars. During his tour of duty he was stationed in Farragut, Idaho and on the USS Rotanin.
Wallace is the Husband of the late Mercedes. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
The Baraga County Area Veterans will conduct military rites, under the direction of the American Legion Post 444, on Monday, July 7th at 11:00 a.m. at L’Anse Evergreen Cemetery. The Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family..
