William Arnold Pirkola, age 75 of Baraga, Michigan passed away on Wednesday, December 18th, 2024, in Baraga.
He was born March 29, 1949, in Ishpeming, MI son of Charles and Miriam (Leppanen) Pirkola. William graduated from L'Anse High School in 1968, Suomi College in 1970 with an associate degree, and attended Northern Michigan University for another 2 years. He served int eh U.S. Army from 1974-75 during Vietnam Era.
William worked at White Pine Mine, various sawmills, 3 summers for Soo Line Railroad, and Celotex.
Surviving are his sister, Pauline (life partner Allen Boda) Morin of Arnheim, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are his parents Charles and Miriam, and brother Marcus Pirkola.
There will be no funeral services. Jacobson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
