Marilyn Helen (Barnett) Majeski

Marilyn Helen (Barnett) Majeski, age 77 of Skanee, MI passed away on Monday, August 26, 2019 at her home.
She was born October 12, 1941 in Dearborn, MI daughter of Raymond and Helen (Koski) Barnett. Marilyn married Joseph Majeski on September 5, 1959 at Zion Lutheran Church in Skanee. She worked as a retail clerk at Gamble's Hardware Store in L'Anse.
Marilyn was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Skanee and served on the church counsel as treasurer, and was the secretary for the Zion Church woman's group for 30 plus years. She was also a member of the Arvon Twp Fire Auxiliary, and volunteered her time to many organizations.
Surviving are her husband Joseph of Skanee; sons, Brian (Missy) Majeski of Skanee, Wayne (Sue) Majeski of Johnson Creek, WI, Dennis (Carrie) Majeski of Little Suamico, WI; sisters, Dianne (James) Roth of Rock Island, TN, Jill (Mike) Botsford of Rhinelander, WI; grandchildren Tara Rebholz, Brian Majeski Jr, Kenny (Kylie Kristo) Majeski, Melissa (Brent) Staver, Matthew Majeski; great grandchildren, Jacklyn, Nathan, Thea, Mason, and Jaxon; one uncle Roy (Eila) Koski of Aura; sister-in-law Eleanor (Ed) Sikkila of Covington, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding her in death are her parents and sister Raylene Roth.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 30th at 12:00 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Skanee with Pastor Richard Little and Pastor Peter Suomela officiating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service. A luncheon will follow in the church hall. Burial will be in the Skanee Cemetery. The Jacobson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
