Mary Elizabeth (Lyle) Mundo

Mary Elizabeth Mundo, age 79 of L’Anse, MI passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at Baraga County Memorial Hospital.
Mary was born May 27, 1939 in Paw Paw, MI daughter of Kenneth and Dorothy (Knoll) Lyle. She graduated from Decatur High School in 1957 and then received an Associate Degree from Hope College.
While living in Van Buren County she worked at various restaurants. About 20 years ago Mary moved to L’Anse where she worked at the Covington Rest Home and Greenhill Manor as a cook. Mary was a classically trained pianist and for many years played at the Methodist Church in Decatur, MI. She enjoyed knitting, building doll houses, crafts, and especially fishing.
Surviving are her son Mark (Mary Lynne) Mundo of Kalamazoo, MI; daughter Lisa (Toni Mallecoccio) Mundo of L’Anse; grandson Shane Brown of South Dakota; sisters, Emily Hrycko of Hope Mills, NC, and Nancy Beck of Paw Paw, MI.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son Kenneth Mundo and infant daughter Michelle.
A private family service will be held. Arrangements have been entrusted to Jacobson Funeral Home.
