Antoinette Marie Hoem

Antoinette (Toni) Marie Hoem, age 87, formerly of Watton, MI passed away on Wednesday, May 05, 2010 at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI.
She was born on October 11, 1922 in Knutange, France, daughter to the late Giovanni and Rose (Zepponi) Serafini. Antoinette grew up in France and married Stanley Hoem in 1946, then moved to the United States. She worked at General Foods in Chicago for 21 years, retiring in 1977, and then moved to Watton, MI. In 2005 she moved to Grand Rapids, MI.
She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Watton and the VFW Auxiliary in Covington.
Surviving are her sons, Phillip Hoem of Trevor, WI and Robert (Nancy) Hoem of Rolling Meadow, IL; daughters Carol (Gene) Lane of Kansas and Linda (John) Holm of Lowell, MI; six grandchildren, Robert (Jill) Nelson, Audrey (Robert) Vander Meer, Karen (Garret) Clark, Jonathan (Jusi) Holm, Stephanie (Brien) Jones, Allen (Erin) Hoem and 12 great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are her husband Stanley, brothers Edy and Gulliermo Serafini, and a sister Aurelia Ubaldini.
Graveside services will take place in the Covington Cemetery at a later date. Cards of sympathy may be sent to the family of Antoinette, c/o Linda Holm, 13259 Burroughs St., Lowell, MI 49331. The Jacobson Funeral Home in L'Anse, MI is assisting the family.
