Susan Jacobs
Licensed Funeral Director, Manager
Susan is a licensed funeral director in Michigan and Wisconsin. She graduated from Wayne State University, School of Mortuary Science. While at Wayne, she was the recipient of the Beaver Edwards Restorative Art Award, the school's highest honor.
Susan is a native of the Upper Peninsula, growing up in Iron Mountain, where she began her funeral career owning funeral homes in Iron Mountain, Florence, and Niagara. In 1999, she sold those funeral homes and came to L'Anse to purchase Jacobson Funeral Home in L'Anse and the Sirard Funeral Home in Baraga.
She is a member of NFDA, the National Funeral Directors Association. Susan serves on the Michigan Mortuary Response Team, one of three funeral directors in the Upper Peninsula. Jacobson Funeral Home was awarded the contract with the County of Baraga to assist with all medical examiner cases.
Susan has served on the board of directors for the Baraga County Community Foundation, Baraga County Chamber of Commerce, Memorial Hospice, and the Sacred Heart School Board. She was formerly named "Young Careerist" for the Upper Peninsula by Business and Professional Women. Susan currently serves as a board member at the Omega House, which provides hospice and respite care services.

Mike Bianco is a life long resident of L'Anse. He is a graduate of L'Anse High School and retired from the Village of L'Anse. He has been working with Jacobson Funeral Home since 2010 as a funeral assistant.

Tom Brunet grew up in L'Anse and graduated from L'Anse High School. He retired from the State of Michigan Police Dept. and has been working as a funeral assistant since 2012.
